thewingedwordWell. Interesting day, overall.
First things first. It's hard for me to put my day in chronological order, but I'm going to do my best for people with ordered minds.
Boring stuff, finished base-coating my clay vessel volcano-god thing.
Finished the "Mage Winds" trilogy (this is not chronological), sulked because I'd just read the Vanyel books, and sulked because there's no good Mercedes Lackey fanfiction, as far as I can tell. Started reading "Oathbound." Felt bad for Mercedes Lackey, since everyone seemed to want her asexual character to fall in love.
Watched the most boring video, which nearly put me to sleep, and I couldn't even daydream like I usually do because there was this awful off-key droning/humming/whining (depending) going on in the background that made me want to clap my hands over my ears. Which, obviously, I couldn't. I've gotten more sensitive towards that sort of thing with all the exposure to music I've gotten recently, and now I realize it might not always be a good thing.
Made silver and gold pennies. Actually, they're zinc-plated and brass. You heat a penny in a solution of zinc powder and sodium hydroxide in an evaporating dish, rinse it off, then either leave it as it is- looking silver- or heat it over a flame with tongs, upon which the zinc mixes with the copper and you get brass. That was fun.
Ate cookies. Now, I'll have to make some of my own. Bother.
Loneliness is a pretty foreign concept to me, being an only child; I'm used to being by myself, and perfectly capeable of entertaining myself. But with the internet and all, I'd gotten used to company. Now, there's fewer people around, and I'll have to regain my self-amusement skills. Bother again.
