Jan. 22nd, 2007 02:21 pmI'm thinking bangs. Really long sweepy ones, long enough that I can tuck them behind my ear or pin them back or let them flop emo-ly over my eyes.
Me and my hair have a strange relationship. I love it, condition it, brush it and swish it around, and when it gets to a certain length (usually a couple inches past shoulder, though now it's down to the bottom of my shoulderblades) I ruthlessly chop it off. Which has led to some of the better haircuts in my life, like that shoulder-length swishy bob, and some of the worst, like the time I had no mercy and literally cut it off at jaw length in a nasty severe slice.
I haven't had bangs since elementary school when I had this horrid, straight-across fringe. Maybe it's time to try something new? Break the cycle?
I'm really not concerned over it being the most fabulous haircut of my life. As long as it's different and interesting and not horrible... it grows back. It always grows back. It's taken me less than three years to grow a solid foot of hair, and bangs grow out much faster than that. I have no fear.
