I wanted to have macaroni and cheese for lunch, or maybe instant ramen. In the closet I found neither; however, I did find, buried at the back, twenty-one boxes of instant jello and pudding.

I honestly don't know what to say. Some of those are probably older than I am, we haven't touched them in years.

By the by, I am FUCKING SICK of LJ and its stupid hissy fits over porn. Just, god. I thought we had gotten all this over with last time! It's so inane, I don't even know how to deal with it except by closing my eyes and hoping it will go away. But it doesn't, and I'm pissed that LJ is taking such a wavering stance on this issue, rather than having some balls and at least sticking to one side. GRRR.

LOL macroes. I'm not going to lie, Ryan Ross's stupid angry face made me feel better. *grins*

Ah, a day of joy.

Went to a nearby suburb where they have a gorgeous two-story Borders. I got a Diane Duane book and The Sandman Companion (which I am categorizing as "research materials"), and strongly considered Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, but rejected it on the basis that I was really looking for a Chrestomanci sequel and would ultimately be disappointed. Also got a best-of Nirvana CD and a Regina Spektor CD, so I am all full and happy with literary and musical goodness.

After that I went to a restaurant for lunch where they have the most amazing grilled cheese; it's havarti, gouda, and cheddar melted together on toasted sourdough with sliced tomato. YUM. Also a tasty if swamplike beef-and-vegetable soup and a pickle. With the books and music, fresh air and wind in my hair, it was very nearly a perfect day.

ETA: Where the hell does Regina Spektor get off being so gorgeous? Because, seriously. Eyes. Hands. *swoons*
