I recently dropped back in to a board that I'm a member of, that I'd neglected for awhile. It felt really good, and I couldn't have asked for a more enthusiastic welcome from my old friends. I've known these people for over a year, and seeing them again made me realize something- in my eagerness to make friends at PPN, a place of very cool people, I forgot about the friends I'd already had.
And new friends, no matter how cool and artistic and creative they are, can never replace the people you've been through thick and thin and admin-naziness with.
It's cliche, I know, but it's how I feel.
It's strange, though- I know nobody from PPN would recognize the flirty, laughing, winking, dirty-minded openness of my alter ego Indi. In my defense, it's a lot easier to be flirty when there's more that two guys. And nobody from the bboard would imagine that they knew shy, eager, quiet, literary Kit. My RL friends wouldn't see me in either.
~Reflective, Kit
