I feel like I was born in the wrong year. Wrong year, and wrong time zone. I should have been born at least five years earlier, and in a time zone which makes it convenient to talk to people who don't have to wake up as early as I do.

Right month, though, so at least something came out well.

Got some lovely presents. Favorites? A gorgeous silver cuff set with an aventurine stone the size of a quarter. A bunch of really neat beads from a friend of my mother, in a wonderfully convenient plastic case. The Wizard of Karres, Last Chance to See, and The Valdemar Companion. PotC and CatCF. And my newest prized possession, a PotO poster (musical, not movie).

I'm absolutely happy, I really am. It's just... hard to summon up enthusiasm right now. Can't figure why.

I really don't think it'd make a good movie, it's so introspective and focused on thoughts and emotions and things that're so hard to show in a movie. Still. I can dream about Johnny Depp in Whites. *sly grin*

I wouldn't enjoy talking to you so much if you weren't interesting. I *still* look back on that first Lackey convo we had and go off into fits of laughter. And you're not a bad friend! Lots of people I know read it and don't review. Just knowing that you do read it makes me happy. :D

And you're right, I don't think it'd make a good movie, but I think we somehow need to get Depp into Whites with long hair tied back...and a big sword... ;)

We'd need lots of sword-practice scenes, though. And in context of the earlier perv, I think I just earned that movie an "R" rating. To be fair, I was just thinking of attractive men whacking each other with blunt objects and getting sweaty.

I would seriously go into hot guy overload. Between Vanyel, Tylendel, Moonsong, that other Tayledras guy whose name I can't remember because they all sound the same, and Stef...

I have a plan. It involves two tickets to France, a long bit of rope, and a very large carryon bag for the trip home. Details are still sketchy.

I didn't mean it like that! I was thinking of practice swords, swear to the shadow-lover! But no, it really did come out pervy. It wouldn't take any effort to read it that way.

For the av, I took the pic you gave me for my birthday, enhanced it, cropped it, and added text. I used the crop feature for Riddle's art, too. I have an obsolete paint program and a worse photoedit one that lost 5/6 of its features when the "one-month trial" ended, but I can still do that much. The white text just happened to show up nicely against the background, and made it look much nicer than it really is.
