My hands are like a thermometer. The more red they are, the warmer it is. Obviously, they're never a true red. But they get that pinkish tinge that healthy human flesh is supposed to have, when they're warm. Like right now.
About three hours ago, they were white. Not just pale, but with that flat white translucency you expect to see on a corpse. I admired their oddness and noticed that the base of the nail bed was turning a pretty shade of lavender as well.
Finished sculpting the abstract vessel. The bottom face still just has two weird eyes, but the upper face has a prominent, three dimensional nose, small round gouged-out eyes, and a mouth that looks like one of those african tribes who put rings in their mouths to make their lower lip stick out. Also two eyebrows, one straight and one slanted out and up.
I truly miss the old days, when you could peek into the chat and find eight or ten people typing away merrily. Now, the occupants mainly fall into three categories.
1) People I don't know.
2) People I'm too intimidated by to get to know.
3) People who are obviously doing something and don't want to be bothered.
Usually I can sort people into these categories without even entering the chat, just by looking at the little window. It's a useful skill, if a lonely one.
